Writing your own Book - Lesson 1
You've been reading my blog week after week, with no clear
direction where it is going. We'll I've
found my direction. I want to impart my
wisdom onto you and help you write an e-book.
Writing any book can be a daunting task, trust me I know,
but with a little support, I think you can figure it out. Over the course of ten weeks, I will walk you
through the 10 phases to develop your book from just an idea to a finished
product. We will also cover marketing.
Let's get started: Lesson 1 - Brainstorming
Brainstorming is the process of thinking up a story and
developing it in your head and on paper.
Brainstorming can be the most arduous task when writing a book. Write down any ideas that you can think of,
the details will follow later.
What type of story will you write?
Where will your story take place?
Will your story be fiction or non-fiction?
Who is the main character, what will they do?
Who are the supporting characters, what are their purposes?
Will your story cover a few days, or hundreds of years?
How long will your story be?
That's the great thing about stories, they can be long or short. The total length of the story is up to you,
but the more complex your brainstorming is, usually the longer the story will
be.
Take the week to develop the ideas for your story, but don't
write it just yet! We have three more
lessons before that will begin.
P.S. I am currently developing a website and working on So
You Want To Work At Home? Is a
new e-book that will be free of charge, due to be published in October 2012.
